Rosario Garcia was born in Havana, Cuba, into a family with a strong artistic tradition. Her work translates the artistry of “paper quilling” into fine metals. Garcia is primarily self-taught with over 30 years of experience, completing a master’s program in jewelry in Florence, Italy.

“The island where I grew up full of vegetation and the ocean is still stamped in my soul. I can remember that while my childhood friends were playing and jumping around me I could stay quiet, lost in the beauty of my surroundings, then collecting things on my way home, and making with my hands what ever I could, that help me interpret what it was in the inside of me.”

In 1988, her work got the attention of ACAC (Cuban association of artists and artisans). Several years after meeting her husband Enrique Garcia, who was a metalsmith and GIA graduate, they established “Rosario Garcia Designs. INC”. Her jewelry now receives widespread respect from clients and critics across the United States.

The work of Adel Chefidri seeks to find harmony through beauty. Inspired by his childhood in Tunisia and passion for color and light, these unique designs have a quality that is both contemporary and timeless. All of Chefidri’s gems and precious metals are ethically sourced, and Chefidri supports the Mercury Free Mining Initiative, an organization committed to eradicating the use of mercury in gold mining. Pieces are crafted in his main studio in Rhinebeck, NY, or its sister studio in Tunis. The signature dots that mark each piece as his creation call back to ancient traditions of engraving symbols in metal, transformed into a modern design aesthetic.

When a jewelry maker named Sharon met a carpenter named Jerry in 1970s California, the pair took to the road to wander and discover the meaning of life and art. They pulled to a stop on a hillside in Braintree, Vermont and have been making exquisite jewelry there ever since. More recently, they’ve been joined in the studio by their son, Zac, crafting beautiful pieces in 14K gold. Freeman earrings are well-made, well-balanced, and finished with signature accents. Lesley Aine McKeown’s work grows out of the American Studio Art Jewelry movement of the mid-20th century. A reaction to the mechanized nature of the second World War and the plastic consumerism of the 1950s, the American Studio movement demanded that all work be done entirely in the artist’s studio to produce truly one-of-a-kind objects. Lesley’s designs walk the border between sculpture and jewelry. Fabricated in precious metals, sterling, high carat gold, designer cabochons and gemstones, these pieces reflect the Arizona designer’s remarkable aesthetic.
