Collections: Lesley Aine McKeown
Lesley Aine McKeown’s work grows out of the American Studio Art Jewelry movement of the mid-20th century. A reaction to the mechanized nature of the second World War and the plastic consumerism of the 1950s, the American Studio movement demanded that all work be done entirely in the artist’s studio to produce truly one-of-a-kind objects. Lesley’s designs walk the border between sculpture and jewelry. Fabricated in precious metals, sterling, high carat gold, designer cabochons and gemstones, these pieces reflect the Arizona designer’s remarkable aesthetic.
“It is my hope that the wearer of my work is identifying with something in the piece that speaks their aesthetic and deeper less tangible emotions, thus completing the creative circle.”
