An astonishing pair of opals was chosen for this pair of Gem Dangles. The deep colors and beautiful flashes in these particular stones are strongly accentuated by the unique, brecciated structures inside each specimen. Notice the bright greens, alighting along linear paths that were broken, then refused back together. These structures are typical for another stone called pietersite, meaning that this stone is doubly-phenomenal, containing two different types of visual phenomenon: chatoyancy and play-of-color.
